Matisse (MTS) is codename for AMD's mainstream through high-end desktop (HEDT) microprocessor line based on the Zen 2 microarchitecture serving as a successor to Pinnacle Ridge. Matisse processors are fabricated on TSMC 7 nm process.
AMD's Picasso GPU uses the GCN 5.0 architecture and is made using a 12 nm production process at GlobalFoundries. With a die size of 210 mm² and a transistor count of 4,940 million it is a medium-sized chip. Picasso supports DirectX 12 (Feature Level 12_1).
It is part of the Ryzen 5 lineup, using the Zen (Raven Ridge) architecture with Socket AM4. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) the core-count is effectively doubled, to 8 threads. Ryzen 5 2400G has 4 MB of L3 cache and operates at 3.6 GHz by default, but can boost up to 3.9 GHz, depending on the workload.
